I’ve not had the most productive week. I did a lot of writing but it wasn’t fruitful. On four separate lenses I put together nearly an entire lens and then chose to delete it. I’m scattered. Still running in circles trying to make sure things are safe with my mom and then having trouble buckling down to work when I’m not doing that. (If my sister happens to catch this post… THANK YOU for saving me an ulcer by staying with her for a while!)
I started one on simple “no cooking” snacks and then decided I didn’t like it, I did a MonkeyBrain lens but in the process of building it, decided I was more wishy-washy on the topic that I originally thought and didn’t feel like putting it out there. I started another ”thank you” lens for some friends in the form of a group of featured lenses but it seemed too similar to another that I found so I decided to nix it and find a different approach. Today I put my heart and soul into a more personal lens about caring for aging parents, I told my personal story/experiences but once it was done and even published I decided that my mother wouldn’t appreciate my sharing the story. So, I deleted the contents and will go back and do something less personal on the same basic topic. For now I have a “published” lens with no contents. Basically, I’m driving myself to madness!
My only real lenses in the past 10 days therefore are more niche related stuff. Your Old Digital Camera was a quick one that I built primarily so I could point out some ways of donating equipment to charity and putting it toward a good cause. Self-explanatory is my new 4GB Memory Card lens which much to my amazement made a sale in it’s first couple of days. It’s not getting a bunch of traffic or anything (6 visits from Google in a week) but I guess it’s capturing the right audience…people wanting to know how much a 4GB memory card will hold when considering a purchase. If it works for them I’m happy. The final one was to help the folks I see in forums asking about how to get a handheld or portable TV now that everything is switching to digital. My How to Get Portable Digital TV lens covers the options which in many cases means using a cell phone, laptop, or other mobile device with a few exceptions.
It’s Friday, and maybe there will be no snow this weekend. I think I need some nature to get me back on track.

Whoa! Dear Mulberry, if ever you write anything, it has to have some value, even if it is to quietly file it away and then come back to it later. Deleting something you have spent time writing is…well I dont know quite what to say, which let’s face it is quite unusual for me!!
I hope it was not my “thank you” lens that put you off writing your own. I dont think there can be enough “thank yous” and I am sure you would have done it in your own brilliant style, so go do it girl!
Now I am off to find out what to do with an old digital camera so I know where to send them when someone asks me and I hope you are feeling a bit less stressed to day.

Oh, it’s still on the list of things to do…I just need the right frame of mind. I’m feeling pretty powerful right now…you’re speechless! The good news is that I did finish the lens about caregiving/caring for your parents this a.m. and I WON’t be deleting it this time.

At least you are doing something. My Squidoo activity has been on pause as I work on other things, but I hope to organize my time better, allowing me to be able to get back into it pretty soon.

I thought I hadn’t seen you around lately. My efforts are sometimes sporadic too…hope you get back into the swing of things soon.
